What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and mentor employees, developing a high-performing, cohesive team
- Participate in the hiring, onboarding and training of new employees
- Delegate responsibilities and oversee branch operations
- Supervise mechanics to ensure priorities are being set and preventative maintenance schedule is being followed
- Make recommendations to senior management regarding rental fleet inventory
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
- Work together with the People and Culture Team to effectively resolve internal staff conflicts, and to ensure employees have access to available resources
- Conduct annual performance evaluations, provide regular performance feedback and coaching, and implement disciplinary measures as required
- Follow and enforce all safety initiatives and policies, and champion the company safety culture
- Collaborate with internal teams across the organization to ensure top-quality customer service at all stages of the rental process
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the construction equipment rental, pump and/or power industry or a closely related field
- Specialized technical knowledge of pump equipment and/or power generation equipment is preferred
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary diploma in a relevant field would be an asset but is not required
- Valid G driver’s license and a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Highly results-driven with a customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to lead and inspire a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with customers, employees, and other parties at all levels of the organization in a professional manner
- Comfortable with computers and proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience with viewing reports in PowerBI, and with Systematic Rental Management software (or similar software) would be an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
