Job Description
Highliving Properties is seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Building Maintenance Manager. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of our Apartment buildings, including painting, carpentry, light plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep, groundskeeping. The candidate must have a strong background in Building Maintenance and be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete preventive maintenance on all equipment and machinery.
- Perform minor repairs and minor carpentry on buildings, office equipment, furniture, fixtures, and other general Building Maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and repair.
- Perform minor plumbing on fixtures and other general Building Maintenance.
- Maintain all building equipment by performing regular preventive maintenance.
- Perform minor painting on office furniture, fixtures, and general building upkeep.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks by following written instructions or by using tools or equipment that are provided for use at the job site.
- Maintain a clean job site by disposing trash in designated areas, taking out trash cans, keeping floors swept, tidied, and ready for use at the end of the workday.
- Adhere to safety regulations at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager or supervisor.
- Painting, drywall patching, mudding, taping, etc.
- Maintaining building exterior including basic grounds maintenance, snow removal as required
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of general Building Maintenance experience in an industrial environment with a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Candidate must have excellent customer service skills as well as good communication skills with the ability to interact with fellow team members as well as with clients at all levels of management. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while also having excellent time management skills with the ability to work overtime when necessary. The successful candidate must have strong mechanical aptitude along with an understanding of basic troubleshooting plumbing issues; etc… The successful candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record as well as having their own reliable transportation to complete this position. This is a full-time position that requires consistent hours worked per week during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (approximately 40 hours per week).
