As a Business Change and Process Consultant, you will be responsible for managing Real Estate and Development Services' (RE&DS) change initiatives to ensure user adoption is maximized on changes to business processes, systems and technology. You will also support project and change leadership for strategic initiatives. You have the ability to direct multiple change initiatives within RE&DS and our partners. You will support leaders in their role as change sponsors and support staff to adopt and sustain the necessary changes for operational effectiveness. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of change management strategies and plans, aligning these with project charters and integrating change activities into project plans. Primary duties include:

  • Facilitate the development of change management strategies, including the design and development of project communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan.

  • Initiate and direct the implementation of transformational change management tactics, change issues, including gaining interested parties buy-in, coaching leaders and change champions to support staff in transitioning to the future state to achieve critical business goals and objectives.

  • Direct and manage the design and implementation of new policies, procedures, processes, systems, standards, tools, structures, and behaviors that improve organizational effectiveness and support effective decision making at a management level for RE&DS.

  • Work collaboratively with a program team, leaders in RE&DS, and cross-corporate Business Units on strategic initiatives to position them for success.

  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of RE&DS Land System Realignment Program and support the delivery of the program.

  • Support RE&DS in strategic planning and other business management projects.

  • Provide research and decision support to senior management on key issues affecting the business and environmental readiness for improved performance.

  • Identify and evaluate existing business structures, workflow, processes, drivers, problems, legislation, policies, environmental constraints, tools, and opportunities for process improvements that align to strategic objectives.

  • Track and report issues, define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.

  • Represent RE&DS on corporate initiatives and policy committees.

  • Participate in the development of a continuous improvement and project management excellence culture.

 
Qualifications 
  • A degree in Business, Commerce, Information Systems, Organizational Psychology, Quality Management or a related field.

  • At least 4 years of experience practicing change management on complex projects.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of change management principles and methodologies supplemented by strong communications skills.

  • Prosci change management methodology certification is an asset.

  • Experience in project management, business process improvement, performance measurement, systems implementation will be considered assets.

  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization, including ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal.

  • Able to think strategically and operate tactically together with the project team.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative and the ability to prioritize work in an environment with constantly changing priorities.

  • Creative problem solving skills, strong facilitation skills and results oriented.

  • Possesses business and political acumen.

  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

Compensation: Level E $83,059 - 125,413 per annum (2024 Rates)
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
