About the Role
As a Software Advisor, you are responsible for increasing Black & White Zebra's pay-per-lead (PPL) program revenue. You support our audience by evaluating their needs and requirements and guiding them with your expert knowledge to the right software solution for their business. You consistently go above and beyond to ensure our audience can make an educated decision about which tool to use from the range of SaaS vendors we inform and connect them with.

Your role and work hours mainly cover our audience needs in North America (U.S. and Canada), with a possible extension to Australia. You must be willing to work fixed CST hours. The role will function under a territory model (subject to change), which means you will have ownership over your territory, giving you strategic input on ways to grow your territory. This role is also direct revenue generating with uncapped commissions.

Who you are
You are a people person! You excel at building relationships with leads over the phone and are super knowledgeable about SaaS software. You like helping people and are results-driven. You have experience in ideally two (2) software categories, such as CRM software or Project Management software.

As someone who will be responsible for maintaining contact with our leads, you possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a knack for talking to people. You should be able to listen actively and understand the needs of our clients to provide them with tailored solutions based on options available from our list of SaaS vendors. Your expertise in SaaS and knowledge about industry trends will be invaluable in guiding our clients to make informed decisions about the software solutions that best meet their needs.

Since you are delivering a service, your customer service skills should be top-notch, and you should be able to handle conversations with professionalism and empathy. In summary, we are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about SaaS software and enjoys helping people.

What you'll be doing (you will have three main responsibilities)

  • Talk to leads and qualify them following our process and matching them with our SaaS vendors.
  • Manage the lead pipeline and coordinate with other advisors.
  • Communicate and maintain customer relationships and deal with customer lead feedback.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of SaaS software
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a related role
  • Comfortable making 30-50 calls per day
  • Previous experience qualifying leads (bonus points for BANT)
  • Experience working with CRMs
  • Experience working in a phone/video-primary role

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a SaaS sales role
  • Experience working with outbound calling
  • Knowledge about any of the following software categories: ERP, GRC, PM, CRM, PSA, HR, BPM
  • Experience hunting for new opportunities. This role is 80% inbound and 20% outbound
  • Experience working with Zoho CRM and enablement tools, like Klenty
Salary Statement:
This full-timeposition is available as a remote, hybrid oronsite position, depending on location. With an annual salary in the range of $60,000 to $70,000 CAD and an uncapped commission structure. OTE $90,000 - $105,000.

The range is a guide for the expected skills, knowledge and experience for new hires based in Canada only. Seniority level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. This means ranges will vary for candidates based outside of Canada and/or at different seniority levels. In addition to annual salary, full time employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
