Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Manager to join our team. As the Business Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our business operations including the catering and food and beverage department. This is a leadership role that requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Duties:
- Supervise and manage a team of employees, providing guidance and support
- Identify new business opportunities
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, making recommendations for improvement
- Drive sales efforts by establishing and maintaining relationships with clients
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure competitiveness
Requirements:
-Must be a Canadian Citizen
- Proven experience in a similar role as a Business Manager or related position
- Strong leadership skills
- Previous Food and Beverage Management
- Solid understanding of financial management principles
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and make sound decisions
Skills:
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Sage accounting
- Previous catering experience
-Familiar with all aspects of kitchen, catering, and customer communications
- Liaise with event planners and staff
- Sales: Ability to drive sales efforts by building relationships with clients.
- Manage bar and food inventory
-daily balance of cash, POS systems and operation of Sage Accounting system
-Previous experience working for a member driven non profit business would be an asset
-Coordinate and reconcile accounts with the CA of the Business
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
