Business Systems Analyst Assistant
The Enterprise Architecture Governance team is looking for a university co-op student to provide support and contribute to various stages of the architecture lifecycle, from gathering requirements to process definition work. This role offers a unique blend of technical challenges, analytical thinking, and collaboration across different teams within the organization.

This is a hybrid role with two days in office at the Hydro One, Bay St downtown location in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:
Assessments: Collaborate with architects to assist in assessing existing systems, applications, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, consolidation, or modernization.
Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements along with process mapping and improvements.
Solution Design: Participate and assist in the design of solutions that meet business needs while adhering to architectural principles, standards, and best practices.
Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation, including processes, stakeholder matrices, diagrams, guidelines, and standards.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and business analysts, working to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
Support Architects: Assist architects in various tasks such as conducting reviews, assisting with technical guidance, and supporting decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable meeting and conversing with internal employees to solicit information and/or inputs into assigned tasks.
Strong communication skills to be able to present materials and findings to internal teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with Business Intelligence Tools (e.g. Microsoft PowerBI) is a plus.
Understanding of various project Management Methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile) is a plus.
