Cafe Assistant

Our Cafe is delivering great coffee, delicious food and fantastic service. We have a large and diverse team which run the cafe operation and a real passion for helping our locals enjoy their cup of coffee.

We train our staff on every aspect of service from taking orders on the till to heating and serving food for dine in and takeaway.

The role we need to fill is for an all rounder who can take orders on the till for coffee and food with a smile, heat and plate food to the specifications of each item ensuring a full docket of food is ready at the same time, run food and coffees to tables, interact with customers and keep the cafe tidy throughout the day by clearing tables.

The ideal candidate must have:

Reliability and punctuality

Experience on a POS/till in a fast paced environment

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to smile with every interaction

Great communication skills with team mates and being able to talk to customers in a friendly manner

Ability to work in a close knit team

Ability to multitask and prioritise

Initiative to find work to do in down time without being told, (clearing tables, cleaning etc)

This full time position will be approximately 30-40 hours a week over a 4 or 5 day roster. Hourly payrate will depend on experience.
