Campground Operations Manager Carson’s Camp Limited
As a leader in the North American camping industry, we expect to provide, through facilities and employees, an exceptional quality, family oriented, recreation and camping experience.
We are recruiting an energetic and outgoing leader to work along-side and collaborate with an involved owner/operator.
The successful applicant will work both jointly with the owner and independently as middle manager.
The campground operates May 1 - Oct 15
Hours include pre and post season 5 day work weeks
In season (June, July, August) 6 day work weeks
11 weeks off mid December to March 1.
Start date: February 5th, 2024
CAMPGROUND BUSINESS INCLUDES:
700 campsites - 500 Seasonal contracts, 180 overnight campsites, 20 stationary rental trailers
5 rental cottages off property
Provision of water under government regulations
Sewer collection, treatment and disposal
Garbage and Recycling collection & disposal
Campground property upkeep - Grass, hedges, trees, roads
Recreation Equipment –Playgrounds, Zip lines, Bouncy Pillows, Basketball,
Volleyball, Horseshoe Pits
Aquatic Amenities - 3 Pools and 2 splash parks - as per government regulations
Vehicle and Machinery Maintenance
Trailer and accessory sales - New and used
Staff - Maintenance Team, Cleaning Team, Pool Team, Office Team, Patrol,
Recreation, Sales
Campsite Improvement services
Winterizing
Marketing/Communications
Human Resources
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborating with the owner/operator in the planning and execution of the business operations.
This includes Staff selection and training to ensure delivery of excellent service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in Verbal and Written English, French is an asset by not a must.
University degree or College certification preferred
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manager position
Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising staff

MAJOR DUTIES:
Operations Leadership
Oversee all Campground Operations to ensure the company quality standards are maintained. Address and resolve any processes affecting quality of service
Support other managers in the day to day operations
Hire and oversee training, support operations staff to use and follow standard operational procedures, oversee evaluation and staff reviews.
Support staff performing operational, clerical and maintenance duties
Support Sales Staff in creating, developing, enhancing or modifying processes for potential clients
Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal
Plan, organize, direct and evaluate construction projects to modify campground features and recreational facilities
Oversee installation, maintenance and repair of campground infrastructures including machinery, equipment and electrical, water, septic treatment and mechanical systems
Oversee development of marketing tools and strategies
Identify areas for possible cost reduction and develop new systems and processes.
Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and property services such as cleaning, maintenance, security and alarm systems.
Oversee creation and publishing of staff schedules and resolve scheduling issues.
Ensure staff respond to and perform repairs arising from client calls and reports
Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports to establish priorities and be kept informed of progress
Conduct regular visual inspection of property, amenities, operations, buildings and staff
Establish a maintenance review schedule for machines and vehicles, review periodically for completion and review
Develop processes to improve project management and maintain Operations manuals
Deal with service problems and implement improvements when required
When required provide superior customer service on the phone and for in- office visits, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times
Comply with all required standards including: government regulations, health and safety standards, corporate, departmental and standard business policies and practices, procedures, area work instructions, and quality standards
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000/annum
