Classification 8 $47,257.33 - $48,718.90 annually as per BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Annual vacation (119 hours) is pro-rated, and front loaded. We offer competitive extended health and dental benefits (eligible after 6 months of work), as well as time off for family illness, personal illness, and other special leaves. Closure during the Christmas Break (Dec 25 - Jan 1) of each year is paid time off. Enrolment in the Municipal Pension Plan is mandatory for all regular, full-time staff with contributions matched by the Employer.
Description:
As a member of our Campus Services team, the Clerk will assist with both external and internal inquiries (student, staff, and the public) in person, by telephone, or by correspondence for programs that are available college wide. The Clerk is expected to handle routine public relations functions by exchanging general information on policies and procedures, maintain course interest lists for all program areas, and follow-up with students by phone and mail. This role has a responsibility for cash outs and bank deposits at the end of the business day, therefore attention to detail and accuracy is essential. This position does require that you have excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while working with frequent interruptions.
You can expect that other duties in your day would include performing all registration procedures for students and other prospective college clients, as well as keeping the computerized student records on our "Colleague" system current.

Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma and completion of an office administration course with an additional two years of related work experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office, validation of cash and balance of accounts is required. Experience with student records registration system is an asset.
The successful candidate must successfully complete a comprehensive clerical test.
