Enrolment Services Clerk - Terrace Campus

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for an Enrolment Services Clerk full-time continuing position starting March 4, 2024. The salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff salary scale, Level 7: $2,122.40 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefits plan.
The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Duties: Under the general direction of the Enrolment Management Coordinator, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Cashier and registration duties using the Colleague system
- Providing clerical support functions in processing applications for regular and part-time course registration
- Determining fees and received payments for tuition, dorm rent, refundable deposits, etc.
- Booking appointments for Student Services including assessments and advising appointments
- Appropriately directing students to resources on and off campus
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications: One-year post-secondary education in Office Administration or Business Administration (diploma preferred), grade 12 or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
- Knowledge of the post-secondary education sector including programs and services available at CMTN
- Previous cashier experience is essential
- Proficient office and computer skills (MS Office, Colleague, internet, e-mail) with a typing speed of 50 words per minute
- Familiar with basic office equipment (printers and photocopiers, etc.)
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage tight deadlines and frequent interruptions
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to function effectively across cultures, particularly with the Indigenous communities, is an asset
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for the best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Demonstrated ability work in a dynamic team environment with minimum supervision
