We are seeking a dynamic accountant to join our growing organization. The ideal candidate has a head for numbers, strong analytical skills, an obsession for detail, seeks efficiency, is versatile, and adaptive. The goal of this position is to contribute to the efficient overall operation of the company alongside the main responsibility of being fully aware of the company's financial performance.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping/Accounting
- Create and issue monthly invoices
- Prepare entries in SAP
- Manage accounts receivables, which include credit card, EFT/ACH, and cheque remittance
- Conduct account receivable process to ensure accounts stay current
- Manage company credit card expenses and reports
- Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers
- Monitor billing variance and communicate with the Customer Success Team and VP of Operations for follow-up
- Calculate and report internal sales rep commission
- Assist in the preparation of the budget and sales forecasts
- Manage costs according to budget
- Manage customer billing inquiries
- Prepare and file monthly GST remittances
- Handle head office tax inquiries
- Maintain SaaS company operational metrics such as CAC, LTV, MRR, and ACV
- Maintain internal SaaS P&L
- Review and analyze financial statements
- Monitor achievement of revenue projections, growth rate, and customer acquisition goals
- Ensure intercompany accounts are balanced
- Protector of internal customer data such as orders, active and inactive subscriber dates, and billing information in accounting and CRM applications
- Protector of customer termination procedure and compliance
- Improve internal accounting procedures for efficiencies
- Maintain the integrity of company financial and operations data
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 2+ years related experience or coop program preferred
- Hands-on experience working with general ledgers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient and familiar with software in general, accounting software, Microsoft Office, SAP, and Google applications
- Attention to detail is an obsession
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Full-time work-from-home position in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.
- Compensation Range: $70,000 - $76,000 CA
- Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range
