Position Description: Reporting to the Fundraising and Community Coordinator, as the Research Coordinator, you will be doing research and developing profiles on five new cities Indwell is considering for potential expansion of supportive housing within the next three-five years.

Hours of Work: Full time, 35 hours per week. This position is a temporary contract, ending after 8 weeks. *Position length and hours subject to approval by Service Canada.
Location: Kitchener office and remote work.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop simple up to date comprehensive profiles of each region, including political leaders, municipal leaders, other housing and social service providers, and other pertinent information
- Liaising with community partners (non-profit, charitable organizations) who are providing supportive housing for the purpose to collect, organize and analyze the data they provided
- Understanding and documenting the municipal decision-making process in the allocation of funding for affordable and supportive housing, especially in 2 tier municipalities
- Gathering the statements that mayor, councillors, provincial and federal government representatives have conveyed about supportive and affordable housing, etc.
- Other duties as required
- Minimum high school diploma, currently completing post-secondary education
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- A warm, sensitive, and caring approach
- Ability to work independently, be flexible, organized, responsible, and take initiative
- Be able to maintain good interpersonal relationships and have a genuine interest in supporting people living with mental illness
Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility Requirements:
- Be between the ages of 18-30 at start of employment
- Be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Be in possession of a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be available to work for the duration of the contract
