We have an opportunity for a Carpenter in the Commercial sector. Project site is located in Jasper, Alberta with shift rotation of 10 days on/4 days off.
We are seeking candidates who are skilled, knowledgeable, experienced and driven to succeed in our business. We are proud of our remarkable Carlson team, and are seeking an individual who leads by example and has a proven track record.
Specifically, the Carpenter will:
- Read blueprints and establish the layout including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
- Check completed units to be sure they meet quality standards
- Follow national and local building codes and all safety regulations
- Experience with wood framing and backings, concrete forming, establish layouts, placing of concrete, etc.
- Adhoc tasks needing completion at the worksite
Requirements:
- Journeyman Carpenter (ticketed) or non-ticketed with significant experience
- 5+ years experience in carpentry while in a Commercial Construction environment
- Aerial lift ticket, fall protection certification and skid steer experience required
- Knowledge and experience in safety aspects while working in Commercial Construction setting
- Self-directed individual, who follows direction while leading by example
- Must have own basic tools
