Job Summary
How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for making serving food and drink, cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports.
As a Cashier/Barista, you will:
Make a positive first impression: smiles, eye contact, tone of voice and thank you.
Responds to customers with an appropriate sense of urgency suggesting products, combos or sizes appropriately.
Resolves customer concerns and complaints in a friendly and timely manner.
Always follows Tim Hortons standards and guidelines when preparing product for our customers.
Prepares soups, sandwiches, bagels, food and drink as required.
Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded. Follow standard instruction of procedure for refunds.
Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer follows overage/shortage standards
Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
Clean dining environment maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
About you:
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent decision-making ability and problem solving
Familiar with the use of a cash register is an asset
Friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Team player that works productively with others.
