Customer Service Associate / Cashier
Duties:
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries, purchases, and returns
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Promote and upsell products or services to customers
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with accuracy
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive shopping experience for customers
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred
- Bilingual in English and another language is a plus
- Proficient in using technology for sales transactions and inventory management
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change
- Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean checkout area
- Sales-oriented mindset to promote products or services to customers
