Cleaner, Health Club

The Parkway Health & Racquet Club is a 25,000 sq foot health & racquet club offering an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tubs, cardio/weight room, fitness class studio, full size gymnasium, squash courts and squash league play, licensed bar and food menu.

The Health Club is part of our large property where we also operate two (2) adjoining hotel properties - Sheraton Parkway Toronto North and Best Western Parkway hotels, conveniently located on the north east corner of Highway & and Leslie Street in Richmond Hill. We are currently recruiting for two (2) permanent, full time Health Club Cleaners to join our Health Club team.

CANDIDATES MUST BE CURRENTLY LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN CANADA.

The duties of the Health Club cleaner include, but are not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Will be required to work a variety of shifts: some evening shifts from 2:30pm - 11:00pm, and some morning shifts from 9:00am - 5:30pm

*Ensuring reception/lounge areas are clean throughout the shift.

*Ensuring that the washrooms/showers and change rooms in the building are clean and are stocked with the necessary supplies

*Ensuring the numerous areas in the building are kept clean, free of garbage and stocked with the necessary supplies

*mopping/vacuuming floors as needed

*Monitoring towels and laundry as needed

*additional cleaning/janitorial duties may be assigned as needed

*Any other duties as may be assigned by the Health Club Manager and/or General Manager

Qualifications:

*Must be flexible with shift/scheduling availability to work a mix of morning and afternoon shifts

*Must have weekend scheduling availability (Saturday and Sunday)

*Must have excellent oral communication skills

*Must be able to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially

*Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks

*Must have excellent organizational skills

*Must be trustworthy and hard working

*Must have ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
