The Non-Insured Benefits Branch is looking for qualified candidates to fill multiple Client Services Representative positions. The branch manages and administers sustainable drug programs for eligible Manitobans under various programs such as Pharmacare, Palliative Care Drug Access Program, Home Cancer Drug Program, and drug plan benefits for employment and income participants, and residents of personal care homes. Non-Insured Benefits is also responsible for strategic and system-wide policy development and issue analysis related to drug management and utilization.
The Manitoba Government has a comprehensive benefit package which includes extended health care, health spending account, dental care, vision care, long-term disability insurance, group life insurance, maternity/paternity leave, family-related leave, and a defined pension plan (some pension plans allow for portability between the Civil Service Superannuation Board and employers).

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Post-secondary education in Pharmacy Assistant, or related education with experience in a pharmacy setting. A combination of relevant education, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience performing administrative or clerical tasks including data entry and answering phones.
  • Experience working with the public managing client expectations and providing customer service to a diverse clientele preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of initiative.
  • Effective verbal communication skills to clearly and professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective written communication skills, to present ideas and information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, and Outlook or equivalent programs.
Desired:
  • Knowledge of the Prescription Drug Cost Assistance Act as well as the Prescription Drugs Payment of Benefits Regulation, Specified Drugs Regulation and Manitoba Drug Interchangeability Formulary.

Duties:
The Client Service Representative processes claims and responds to diverse and complex inquires by phone regarding the benefits and programs offered by the Non-Insured Benefits Branch. The incumbent requires extensive knowledge of all non-insured benefits programs, policies, and administrative procedures. Superior customer service skills are required.
