Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure-tone testing, speech audiometry, and tympanometry.
- Interpret test results and make appropriate recommendations for treatment or further evaluation.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids, including selection, verification, and counseling on proper use and maintenance.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families on hearing loss, communication strategies, and hearing conservation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with hearing loss or related disorders.
- Stay current with advancements in audiology research and technology.
Experience:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Audiology. Doctorate degree preferred.
- Current member of CASLPO in good standing
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to audiology.
- Experience working with patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric populations.
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
- Familiarity with a variety of hearing aid brands and models.
