Job Summary:
As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will machine components for production. Successful candidates will monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes and adjusting and/or reprogramming control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Job Duties:
- Program and set up a dual spindle, live tooling lathe
- Run production parts that conform to the blueprint
- Perform regular machine maintenance
- Maintain an inventory for all required lathe supplies
- Support machine setup and operation personnel
- Emphasis is placed on a continuous process of improvement
- Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as
company safety policies
- Any other duties as assigned by the Machining Supervisor or Senior Leadership team
Job Description
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Machinist certificate or equivalent an asset
- Minimum 3 years’ experience programming Fanuc control
- Minimum 5 years’ CNC lathe experience
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Ability to machine all types of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless and plastics)
- Must be able to read precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gages)
- Must be able to read a blueprint
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Salary: $26-$32/ hour based on experience

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
