- Aiding in ideation to solve real market problems
- Designing, prototyping and testing ideas with customers, in the actual market
- Answering critical business questions by collecting real market data
- Rapidly develop your solution concept into functional prototypes (for web and/or mobile)
- Investigate the potential of new and emerging technologies (e.g. big data, platform features, AI)
- Refine presentation skills by pitching concepts and demos to senior executives
- Learn and share developer insights with other teams and partners
- Gain experience making real business process improvement through digitization
- Opportunity to work as part of a dynamic, agile team to delivering cutting edge digital transformation online
- Contribute to building proof of concept and exploratory work for an API and services-enabled application architecture, and to deliver interconnected capabilities through a distributed digital ecosystem
- Work closely with digital marketing experts to assess and analyze supporting technologies, data and patterns
- Research and try out innovative solutions and approaches, challenge existing scenarios and brainstorm new techniques
- Work remotely, but connected via Slack, chat, Google Hangouts, etc.
- Participate in daily team hangouts
What you’ll need to have
- Be actively enrolled in post-secondary education that requires completion of a co-op term
- Provide official documentation from the post-secondary institution with details on your work term
It would be nice for you to have
- Team adopts a loosely hyper-agile methodology and uses the latest DevOps tools including:
- Slack - our team's main communications channel. We also use Slack bots of all shapes and sizes to automate our processes
- GitHub
- Jira - planning and tracking work
- CircleCI - automated behat testing and Continuous Integration and Deployment
- Dynamic Dev, Staging and Prod regions
- Google Cloud Platform
- Languages include: Node, React, Django, Flask, Python, Drupal/PHP, Java and others
