About The Role
General
- Ensure trades follow Marcon's Safety Policies (i.e. Personal Protective Equipment worn, harnesses on deck, eye protection, etc.)
- Report to Superintendent daily
- Chair daily exterior morning meetings when required and provide input for trades.
- Schedule all exterior trades. Use MS project, Excel, Procore, Smartsheet and office white boards to communicate these dates.
- Utilize Procore to upload “Site Flow” to coordinate activities.
- Oversee Marcon exterior labor and provide direction to them Via Task sheets.
- Inspect each trades work and ensure they are giving us very high quality.
- Enforce trades to complete deficiencies in timely manner before they proceed further.
- Deficiencies and trade items must be recorded on field wire.
- Typical hours of work are form 6 or 630AM to 4PM, 2 Saturday months may be required.
Detail
- Generate trade deficiency lists
- Oversee quality of exterior and enforcement of trades
- Utilize Fieldwire/ read drawings
- Basic envelope knowledge including material types use, lapping, use of appropriate membranes, primers, fasteners, rain screen, flashing principles, brick principles, Hardi 2.0 principles, Starline Window systems, below grade waterproofing, epoxy injection, metal panel systems, etc.
- Prep all horizontal and vertical surfaces for all membranes
- Presiding check prior to paper (ex. Window lines, plumb corners, soffit/deck backing)
- Push mock-up schedule and coordination of colors
- Part of envelope reviews, coordinate deficiencies reported on Reports and distribute to trades
- Provide micro schedules and maintain flow and schedule, hard copy and site flow uploaded to Procore whenever updated.
- Inspection and sign-off all exterior completed work
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience in hands on ability with siding repair, painting, and membrane experience is essential
- Clean and tidy appearance is essential for all Marcon Employees to set an example.
- Management attire Wear a collared shirt, steel toe low cuff shoes, no torn pants.
- Willingness and the ability to deal with trades in a professional manner
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Typical hours of work for this position are form 6 or 630 AM to 4PM daily with min 2 Saturdays(4hrs) a month
- Self-driven and task orientated
- Understand critical tasks
- Tickets required: Valid DL. Fall protection, Manlift, level 1 first aid, forklift and bobcat are an asset
About You
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and a continuous learning attitude;
- Basic Microsoft skills; excel; word; outlook, MS Project as well as construction specific software i.e. Procore and Bluebeam
- Understand basic construction math
- Tickets: bobcat; forklift, L1 First Aid; Fall Protection; Safety Supervision, Fit Test
- Ability to work long hours when necessary to maintain project schedule
