Construction Safety Officer

True North Labour is seeking several Construction Safety Officers (CSO's) for various locations and length of assignments. Wages will be based on experience and distance of assignment.

```Duties```
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
- Provide safety training and education programs for employees to promote awareness and knowledge of safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop a culture of safety and continuous improvement

```Qualifications```
- BC Construction Safety Officer Certification required and Occupational Health Level 2 or 3
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in a construction or industrial setting
- In-depth knowledge of local, provincial, and federal safety regulations and standards
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential hazards and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train employees on safety protocols
- Proficient in using construction management software to track safety incidents and inspections

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Salary: $29.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• On call
• Overtime
