JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary goal for the Contractor Desk Associate is to provide prompt, friendly, and efficient service to customers, assisting them with merchandise and related items.
You are the go-to person for selling building material to walk-in customers.
This is a career position leading to greater responsibility.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES: including but not limited to the following
Greet customers promptly upon entering the store or your department.
Communicate product knowledge in a friendly, engaging manner.
Determine customers’ needs by asking open-ended questions.
Help customers find items needed for their project.
Assist customers with carrying out large or heavy items.
Take a proactive approach to real or anticipated issues and opportunities.
Set a good example of maturity and ethical professionalism.
Find ways to add value and overall profitability.
Order and restock your department.
Maintain end caps and feature displays.
Lead the power tool department.

Physical Capabilities:
Standing/walking for 8+ hours, with regular breaks.
Lift and carry items, up to 50 lbs, often and unassisted to various heights.
Lifting, turning, bending, reaching, and working above shoulder level.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
