The Team
Joining the People & Culture (P&C) team at BCLC means you’ll be working with a trusted, passionate, hardworking, employee focused team of professionals who are committed to putting people at the heart of everything we do. We focus on developing and implementing world class P&C strategies, programs and practices across Talent Management, Organizational Development, Rewards & Recruitment, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, and Corporate Strategy.
Our People Operations team drives the employee experience at BCLC. We advise our people through life and career events, moments that matter, ensure People & Culture programs are executed consistently across our business, and deliver leadership and people skills training in person and virtual settings.
The Role
This role is the hub of a team where they are the first line of contact for employees, a bridged resource between our People Development & People Operations teams, providing a unique opportunity for a seasoned Co-ordinator who wants to work in People & Culture where they will be emersed in continuous learning and be exposed to a breath of People and Culture programs. Reporting to the Manager, People Operations, the People Operations Co-ordinator provides coordination and administrative support to the People Operations and People Development teams across various P&C programs and all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
What you will accomplish
- As first point of contact, you will analyze People & Culture intake requests, co-ordinate responses to P&C inquiries and prioritize & delegate more complex issues to People & Culture Advisors
- You will co-ordinate with People & Culture Advisors and meet with employees to support with life & career events, including completing employee letters, documentation and related system changes in SuccessFactors
- You will create reports, dashboards and monitor the progress and completion of tasks for a wide range of People & Culture programs, including performance management, and ensure all time-sensitive employee tasks are completed as required
- You will administer our learning management system in SuccessFactors, including organizing sessions, inputting course completions, reviewing, reporting, ensuring data integrity and identifying opportunities for improvements
- You will organize learning events, including coordinate timing, cadence, catering & logistics, running logistics for breakout sessions, validating attendance and co-ordinating surveys
- You will maintain employee records, support with P&C intranet content, co-ordinate budget, update handbooks, guidelines and standard operating procedures

- You’re a strong communicator, both verbal and in writing, able to convey information with clarity, sensitivity and empathy with employees at various levels
- You are able to stay organized with competing demands and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
- You are a problem solver, able to apply sound judgement to make informed decisions and recommend and implement best practices
- You are a self-starter, comfortable working independently with a sense of urgency to deliver exceptional experiences
It would be awesome if you also had
- You have knowledge of basic employment legislation in BC
- You have worked with enterprise resource planning & HR management systems such as SAP/SuccessFactors
