Mitchell Elementary School, in Sparwood, BC) Salary: The starting annual salary for this full-time Counsellor position ranges from $61,512 to $108,430, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification. -Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.Counsellor - Elementary Grades K-6 (POSTING NUMBER T2324-255 - Round 2)1.0 FTE temporary contract, starting April 3, 2024 or upon completion of the posting process to June 28, 2024.Must have a Master's Degree recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch in Counselling, Psychology in Counselling or Psychology. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Elementary School level. It would be considered an asset to have training and or teaching experience in trauma informed practice.This is a District position, with a home base in Sparwood, BC to support Frank J.
