Counter Assistant & Yard Assistant

Main roll building relationships with customers through excellent customer service, understanding requirements and ensuring that the correct products are quoted; as a result, securing on-going business.

• Being precise with the processes & procedures from quoting to supply, and the checking of goods inwards & outwards.
• Assist with Goods in & out, checking deliveries, collating orders, & loading the van.
• Keeping the trade counter/showroom tidy and re-stocked at all times.
• Be involved with stock checks for relevant categories.
• Assist with deliveries when required.
• Keeping up to date with product knowledge for stock portfolios and aligned ranges.
• Candidates must be confident, committed, and motivated, with strong IT skills.
• Happy to work with the team to meet department sales targets.
• Performing any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required.
• Please note this role does require occasional heavy lifting.
• You will also be outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles
• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse
• Full training is provided in order to drive our forklifts
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 5 years (required)
