We are currently hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative for our EMCO Plumbing location in Woodstock, Ontario.


A Typical Day at EMCO:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will provide sales support to walk-in customers who come to our Profit Centre counter and showroom. You will provide the highest level of Customer Service by maintaining and stocking our counter sales area. In addition, you will provide support to customers by answering questions, picking, and entering orders. Support will also be provided to the Inside Sales and Outside Sales functions. Additional duties will include:


  • Fast-paced counter service and sales consultations interacting directly with the customer, phone orders, quotations in a plumbing wholesale environment
  • Research product for customers and provide recommendations on our assortment of product
  • Drive sales growth through ownership of counter merchandising, product promotion, and generate leads for the Outside Account Manager while networking with customers at the counter
  • Enter, pick, and pack sales orders generated at the counter
  • Maintain and clean the counter area including any merchandising displays
  • Follow up on backorders with vendors and provide customers accurate delivery dates
  • Process returns and warranty claims to customers both on account and cash sales including paperwork in compliance with all procedures
  • Navigate and find a solution for customer inquiries

Qualifications


We expect our Customer Service Representatives to possess:

  • The highest standards of core values and integrity.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced business environment focused on Customer Service and/or marketing.
  • A passion for identifying process improvement and new sales opportunities.
  • Data management capability. Attention-to-detail is crucial.
  • A balance of fun, friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
