Reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations, the Customer Service Representative will work closely with the Customer and their Procurement team to drive total SCM value. Candidate will be responsible for liaising with customers, providing them product and service information as well as resolving their various issues within a materials manufacturing/distribution environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Provide information about the products and services
- Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
- Document and update customer records based on interactions
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
- Expediting and de-expediting of material
- Proactively troubleshoot any received discrepancies and invoices
- Accurately maintain and carry out the purchase order processing with vendors
- Monitor orders and maintain projected delivery date updates
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- Previous experience within utilities or manufacturing sectors an asset
- Post secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration (preferred)
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Possess a positive and professional demeanor
- A philosophy that Customer Service is important above all else and an ability to resolve customer needs in innovative and effective manners
- Ability to service customers and accounts with quality, timeliness, and professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
- Experience with purchasing software (e.g SAP, Sage, etc)
