We continue to grow as a business and it is time to add another full time Customer Service Representative to our team. Durham Medical offers competitive wages at $19/hr as well as paid sick days and comprehensive health benefits.
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a helpful and positive representative of Durham Medical. The CSR will assist clients in the retail store as well as by phone/email with their equipment and product purchases, queries, and needs.
General Duties:
- Represent Durham Medical in a professional and courteous manner.
- Exercise professionalism in communication, work attendance habits, and attire.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and training as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Durham Medical processes
Customer Service:
- Safely and efficiently assist clients in store and on the phone with their equipment or product purchases
- Process quotes, sales orders, deliveries, invoicing and third party billing
- Complete data entry of client information, details, and remarks as needed
- Receive client payment accurately and completely
- Assist clients with product fittings (compression stockings, braces, shoes, etc.)
- Schedule appointments with clients
- Arrange deliveries and pick up orders
- Re-stock showroom inventory
- Participate in yearly inventory counts
- Keep abreast of new company products and services.
Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Relevant Post-Secondary education would be considered an asset
Skills
- Excellent Oral and Written Communication
- Strong Time Management and Problem-Solving Skills
- Proficient in Windows based computer programs
Abilities
- Work efficiently under pressure and within time restraints
- Ability to work with elderly and vulnerable clients by providing one-on-one care and assistance
- Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
- Work well with others in a team environment
Experience
- 2 plus years in a Customer Service position
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP, data entry, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with corresponding/billing of Insurance companies, Ontario Disability Support Program and Department of Veterans Affairs would be considered and asset
- The following experience/knowledge as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) would be considered an asset:
- Measuring and or fitting clients for compression garments, wound care, ostomy,
enteral feeding, and incontinent supplies
- Mobility aids, accessible living and heath care related furniture
