As a Garden Centre Sales Associate, you will thrive in a dynamic environment, engaging with customers and management to create an exceptional shopping experience. In addition to providing top-notch Customer Service, you'll be responsible for curating visually appealing displays of trees, shrubs, and plants, ensuring the garden centre remains well-maintained through tasks like watering, restocking shelves, and merchandise organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence:
- Interact with customers warmly, offering assistance and guidance.
- Direct customers to requested items, demonstrating your knowledge of the garden centre's diverse product range.
- Stay informed about the latest garden centre products, continually expanding your expertise.
Sales and Promotion:
- Actively promote in-store deals and promotions to enhance customer engagement.
- Keep customers informed about ongoing offers and discounts.
Merchandising Mastery:
- Craft visually stunning displays of trees, shrubs, and plants to captivate customer interest.
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked and displays are consistently attractive.
- Promptly report low stock levels to management for efficient restocking.
Maintenance Excellence:
- Attend to the health and presentation of plants through regular watering and maintenance.
- Rotate annuals, perennials, and stock to maintain freshness and appeal.
- Uphold a neat and tidy appearance of the garden centre for an inviting atmosphere.
Potential Career Path:
Garden Centre Manager:
- Oversee the holistic operations of the garden centre.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Standing/Walking: Expect to stand or walk for extended periods, typically 8 hours.
- Lifting/Carrying: May be required to lift and carry merchandise items, varying in weight from light to heavy, on a regular and unassisted basis.
