Job Overview
In the Customer Service Representative roll you will greet customers as they enter the store making them feel immediately welcomed. Once they are in the store you will provide any assistance that is needed. You will answer knowledge and stock-based questions and provide top quality Customer Service to each and every customer. We strive to ensure our customers success as they navigate the niche markets we specialize in. You will accurately create customer orders, take payment for the order via our accepted payment methods, and finally pick and pack the order for the customer.
Along with Customer Service you will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, adding new stock as it arrives and for providing a clean and safe working and shopping environment. Cleaning duties will include daily sweeping, mopping and dusting of the front-end store, including washrooms (3) and the small kitchenette which in time may become a self-service café station that customers would have access to. You will also be responsible for the cleaning and setup of the classroom and equipment room for classes, parties or private bookings.
In addition to your front-end duties, you will also be responding to customer inquiries via chat, email and our Facebook pages as time allows.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Service customers in our retail location which includes in-store sales and online order pickups
- Process payments and provide change with accuracy while maintaining a balanced till
- Pick and pack in store customer orders
- Maintain stock level in the store front
- Maintain cleanliness and a safe working and shopping environment throughout the store front, washroom, classroom and kitchenette areas
- Setup classroom for classes, parties or private bookings
- Assist with photography and marking
- Service customers electronically through our Facebook page, email and chat platforms
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift product or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to keep yourself busy during slower periods
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
- Familiarity with electronic communication including email and Facebook Messenger
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Customer focussed
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Previous experience in a Customer Service position that involved cash handling and payment receipt
- Ability to clean, organize and maintain an eye-catching store front
- Knowledge of dye sublimation and dtf printing is a strong asset
- Marketing and SEO knowledge and experience is a strong asset
- Ability to use a heat press, to apply straight centered images to apparel, mugs and tumblers is an asset
Work Hours and Location
- This role requires you to be physically present at our Ajax store. This is a full-time position with a current expectation of 35 hours Monday to Friday with the option of 4 additional hours on Saturday.
- Long-term availability will need to include evenings up to 7:00 PM with an availability for extended hours during busy seasons as needed
