Job description

The 2024 Camping Season is shaping up to be a good one. We are looking to add 2-4 additional team members to our existing staff. We are looking for energetic and positive people to fill spots within our daytime operations. Day time shifts are 8-hour shifts, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm or Evening Operations from 2pm-10pm

Responsibilities: (may include but are not limited to)

Camper registration and fee collection · Enforcement of Park Policies · Cleaning of campsites and trails · Cleaning/restocking washroom facilities · Garbage collection · Landscaping duties: litter pick-up/mowing/weed whacking/raking/leaf-blowing/etc. Painting and minor infrastructure repair/maintenance

Skills required · Positive attitude is everything! · Team player who can take direction/training · Enjoyment/appreciation of nature and a knowledge of Shuswap area · Comfortable working in all weather conditions · Reliability/flexibility within the work schedule: willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. · Must possess a flexible mindset with a positive, respectful and helpful demeanor · The ability to trouble-shoot and implement workarounds on the fly and as needed · Self-starter with a high level of initiative/self-discipline to work without direct supervision · Willingness to follow set protocols and chain of command · Organization-driven with the ability to think above and beyond the daily tasks · Should have a natural enjoyment of working with the public · Can maintain a calm, consistent, and professional attitude in the face of adversity · Eagerness to take on additional roles or responsibilities as required by the Supervisor

Contract length: 6 months

Salary: From $17.60 per hour
