NTE Energy Canada Ltd has an opening for a swing operator. This position is camp based in Northern BC consisting of 15 days on shift followed by 13 days off shift. The position requires a self-motivated individual to be a part of our day to day field and plant operations.
Reporting to the Field Foreman, key areas of responsibility include:
Responsibilities
· Knowledge of plant processes including compression, refrigeration & stabilization.
· Thorough knowledge of gathering system and isolation points.
· Working knowledge of all plant and field equipment and its functions.
· Support Well optimization.
· Support Pigging optimization.
· In charge of maximizing facility run time and efficiency.
· Facilitate and reinforce communication within the team and between the field foremen.
· Maintain a highly functioning team within your area of responsibility.
· In charge of identifying optimization opportunities and support field staff in generating, developing, testing and evaluation of optimization initiatives.
· Retain a high level of understanding and audit, train and mentor less experienced operators on current regulatory, safety, production, competency procedures and initiatives
· Responsible to keep equipment and plant operating at maximum efficiency with minimum down time in a safe and cost effective manner.
· Provide input and support on facility optimization and gathering system modification projects.
· Ensure prompt and accurate reporting of production/fuel/flaring/venting data.
· Work effectively with Production Accounting staff to ensure accuracy in PVR and provide accurate information about flow and meter questions and issues as they may arise.
· Ensure all regulatory requirements are being met and documented.
· Assist in ordering and tracking parts and fittings.
Education & Professional certification
· 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
· Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
· First Aid, H2S Alive.
· Completion of required safety and technical courses.
· Plant processes including compression, refrigeration & stabilization. Amine process knowledge and experience an asset.
· Proficient computer skills.
· Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
· Positive attitude and strong sense of team commitment.
· Adequate knowledge of regulatory requirements.
· Able to work independently and within a team environment.
· Able to drive to Northern BC or Calgary or Edmonton.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Ability to climb a 6 ft. ladder.
· Oil and Gas industry experience is an asset.
