THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently recruiting for full-time permanent junior, intermediate and senior Plant Operators who will report to the Foreman within our Field Operations department in the Attachie region based in Northeast British Columbia. Attachie West is the latest full-scale sanctioned development area for ARC with significant growth opportunity, including the construction of a 90mmcf gas plant with liquid handling capabilities of 22,500bbl condensate and 7500bbl of NGL along with associated well pads and pipelines to be complete in Q4 2024. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, commissioning and starting up a new plant and production facilities. ARC has many opportunities in the future, with multiple phase development in both West and Central Attachie. This position is a full-time, permanent role located in our Attachie area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the facilities in the area
- Champion ARC’s culture of safety by abiding by ARC’s safety standards and reporting
- Identify hazards and effectively communicating with team members
- Ensure plant production and reliability by effectively troubleshooting and performing maintenance on equipment as needed
- Monitor and evaluate process conditions to achieve optimum throughput
- Assist in plant commissioning and turnaround planning as required
- Complete production reports accurately and on time
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production and minimize downtime
- Perform minor maintenance and plant housekeeping as required
- Be available and ready to respond to on-call operational duties as need
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:
- Must have successfully completed a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate program
- A minimum of 3 years of operating experience in the oil and gas industry
- Motivated and enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic
- Strong mechanical aptitude, computer literacy, and exceptional organization skills
- Experience with sour gas facilities and gas refrigeration systems is considered an asset
- Experience working in a gas plant is also considered an asset
- Must be available to work a 12-hour shift and a night shift periodically
- Must currently reside in Fort St. John or Hudson’s Hope

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The shift schedule for this role is a 7/7 rotation, 12 hours per day, working days and nights.
As this role is considered safety sensitive, the finalist candidate will be required to successfully complete drug and alcohol testing, and a fitness to work test.
The base salary/wage range for this position is $36.00 CAD to $57.00 CAD per hour. The posted salary/wage range is reflective of the qualifications associated with this specific advertisement. Exact salary/wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, and skillset. Additionally, all permanent employees are eligible to participate in ARC’s competitive bonus and long-term incentive programs.
