GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Mix Operator is responsible for pre-staging of raw materials to meet production targets. This position is responsible for all mixing and packaging of bread and tempura mixes, while maintaining quality and efficiency of all production processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Operates multi-function process control machinery and single function machinery to process and package product. (Nauta and Ribbon mixers) proficiently.
· Meet compliance targets by ensuring exact amounts of all raw materials are accurately added.
· Perform and document quality control product samples taken for Lab testing.
· Document and maintain shift logs of production and other data.
· Responsible for observing gauges and computer print outs to verify processing conditions and make adjustment to process variables.
· Set up and adjust processing and packing machines and perform corrective machine adjustments.
· Monitor product to ensure conformance to company standards, document production results, quantity, weight, size, date, and type of product packaged.
· Ensures that all sanitation standards are maintained during mixing process and at the completion of each shift.
· Timely and accurate documentation of waste and damages. Communicate any product deficiencies to Production Supervisor.
· Is aware of critical control points as they relate to product liability.
· Responsible for compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safety standards.
· Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) while performing job duties and tasks.
· Performs other job duties and tasks, including training, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Completion of Grade 12 or equivalency.
· Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
· Works with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail.
· Aptitude for computerized control systems.
· Mechanical aptitude for diagnosis and troubleshooting.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Internal Rogers Foods Forklift Training will be provided.
· Available for shift work as required.
