About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Dealer Technical Support/Sales Managerto join our team in Seaforth, ON, on a full-time basis. A hybrid work schedule of 1 day a week working from home may be available, and occasional international travel to the USA will be required.

With a heavy emphasis on dealer support, the successful candidate will act as continual, technical support for our existing product growth and as we introduce an exciting new product to the marketplace.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Understanding and conveying the technical attributes across all machine models
• Becoming the “go-to” person regarding all technical knowledge across all machine models
• Assisting with administering company warranty policy
• Assessing customers' needs and recommending the appropriate products
• Supporting and providing the dealers/sales staff with timely and accurate information
• Maintaining current knowledge of product features and benefits available for sale
• Troubleshooting product issues and assisting with determining required parts
• Acting as point person for all trade show activities and attending trade shows as required
• Representing the company for the sale of machinery to dealer network
• Managing and expanding existing dealer network
• Developing the program and materials to effectively launch a new product line
• Promoting new and current products
• Developing, maintaining, and implementing sales administration programs
• Developing sales training material and conducting sales training sessions
• Informing management on industry trends and product development issues
• Occasionally posting, interacting, and communicating within all social media platforms

More About You

In order to qualify for this position, you will have 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a technical/engineering/mechanical background and experience working with various dealers and stakeholders within the agriculture industry.

The following qualifications or skills would be strong assets for this position:

• Experience with managing a dealer network
• Experienced with bringing a new product to the marketplace
• Experience working in fabrication manufacturing
• A degree or diploma in Business or relative field experience
• Proficiency in MS Office and Publisher
• Experience working at trade shows

You are self-directed, with proven sales ability and excellent relationship-building and expectation-managing skills when interacting with a variety of stakeholders. Additionally, you are able to communicate complex technical information in clear and accessible language for a diverse audience. Your mechanical/technical know-how, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, along with your ability to take initiative will ensure your success in this role.
