About the Role

The Delivery Driver position is responsible for daily customer deliveries, material pick-up from vendors, inter-branch material transfers, and accurate picking, packing, shipping, and receiving of material.

Major Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver various items and products.
• Picking, packing and putting away orders.
• Load and unload goods from the truck.
• Perform pre-trip inspection of the vehicle.
• Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues.
• Obtain and display knowledge of products.
• Work with accuracy in a safe and efficient manner.
• Drive safely and follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Responsible for carrying out any other duties assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license – Class G with a clean driving abstract (to be provided)
• Must be insurable. Drivers’ abstract needs to be provided after an offer is made and before hiring
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must have grade 12 or GED equivalent
• Responsible and reliable
• Must be a team player
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organizational skills
• Accuracy in following instructions
• Professional demeanour
