We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Candidate who is ready for the Fastlane on one of our Premium IT Teams. As a member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support our mission-critical financial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, operations, and security teams to design and implement robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure and systems
- Automate the deployment, scaling, and observability of applications and services
- Continuously improve and optimize the performance, availability, and security of our systems
- Work closely with the SRE team to design and implement deployment pipelines, incident response and recovery plans
- Continuously improve and optimize the performance, availability, and security of our systems
- Join an on call schedule to provide support and after-hours maintenance of supported systems and services
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles in an AWS cloud environment
- Proficient with cloud-based Infrastructure as Code and services using AWS (IaaS, PaaS, RDS, Observability and CDK / TypeScript)
- Strong experience with configuration management tools (Ansible and YAML preferred)
- Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
- Strong experience with observability and logging tools (Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, Cloud Watch)
- Strong experience with scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript)
- Strong experience with security and compliance in a financial institution or other regulated industry.
- Strong experience with GitOps including Continuous Deployment tools.
- Expertise with Git tooling and practices; GitHub Preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with a strong understanding of SOLID design principles and API design and implementation.
- Experience with ITIL processes including Problem and Change Management, Configuration and Release Management
- Knowledge of Oracle products including Oracle, OEM, Golden Gate
- Must have experience in Financial Industry
- Must have strong communication, documentation and ability to provide coaching to team members.
- Applicants with bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields preferred.
- Position may require some/limited travel
- Hybrid work environment. Once a week can be either Gordon Baker Road location or downtown Toronto

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
