Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a digital ads expert to join our exceptional marketing team! You will be our go-to person for all things digital ads related, and will lead the planning, monitoring/adjusting, executing/analysis and budgeting of ads on a daily basis. You will be reporting to the director of marketing while working closely with the content team, and be in charge of devising our digital ads strategy as well as managing our ads agency.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of digital ads, paid media and basic marketing, in-depth working knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Facebook Ads Manager, and have a knack for knowing how to create effective ads as well as how to optimize them based on target demographics.

The ideal candidate is driven, proactive, organized and enjoy rising to the challenge. You take ownership of your work and enjoy figuring out better ways to do things. You actively follow the world of paid search and digital marketing, and know it like the back of your hand. You have a passion for data, testing new ideas, copy and content creation, and SEM. You thrive in a fast-paced work environment, and excel at managing multiple projects at once. You are a strong team player with a thirst for learning, a collaborative spirit, and a positive can-do attitude.

What You’ll Do

The core responsibilities of this role revolve around coming up with the appropriate ad strategies that align with our campaign objectives as well as company targets, monitoring the execution and implementation of ads campaigns, leading the creation of ads content/direction, as well as gathering relevant reporting to provide insight to guide the overall marketing strategy. You’ll also be driven to take the lead on creative testing, and will work with various teams to create Content Experiments in Google Analytics and A/B or MVT programs in Google Optimize.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, and manage PPC and retargeting campaigns across a variety of channels to achieve ROI goals
  • Develop, analyze, and optimize keywords, lead the direction of ad copy / ad content, and landing pages
  • Manage daily/monthly PPC spending to ensure each campaign meets the desired performance metrics
  • Perform daily review of live campaigns, optimize performance, perform A/B testing to deliver against set KPIs
  • Lead the development of engaging and concise copy to modify CTAs on ads to boost CTRs and conversions
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in the process (i.e. automation, software, tools)
  • Measure and optimize our paid marketing using tools like Google Analytics, and marketing analytics reports
  • Collaborate with marketing teammates to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all paid programs
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies to keep us ahead, including updates to social media marketing, attribution, and programmatic media buying
  • Working with our Business Intelligence team to create actionable reports related to quantitative metrics (CPM/oCPM, CPV, CPA, ROAS), and creating strategies on how to improve our SEM performance
  • Monitor and assess competitor activity and keyword ranking performance
  • Monitor and report against campaign budgets across all paid channels
  • Be a strong strategic resource for Nanoleaf teams around the globe, and provide advice and guidance on how to improve their localized campaigns
  • Manage the Nanoleaf Affiliate Program on Commission Junction

Requirements:

  • Proven skills using tools like Google Ads Editor, Google Analytics, Google Shopping, Amazon Digital Ads, Facebook Ads, Excel, YouTube
  • 2+ years running paid SEM and/or display campaigns (primarily Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or similar native publisher networks)
  • Experience with campaign tracking and tagging tools (UTM, tag manager, Facebook conversion tracking, etc.)
  • SEO/SEM, PPC or digital marketing experience
  • Proficient with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, TikTok, Linkedin, etc.)
  • Have a firm understanding of marketing and branding concepts to know how to translate marketing initiatives into effective ads campaigns
  • Must be comfortable managing multiple moving projects at the same time
  • Must excel at time management and be able to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to think and write creatively
  • Self-starter attitude, reliability, discretion and ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • This role has lots of opportunities to grow, remuneration will be discussed during the interview process
  • This role will require you to on occasion, work collaboratively in the office (Toronto HQ)
