Reds Source for Sports is located in the small city of Lacombe, in Central Alberta. We are independently owned but have the support of a national buying group and website. We have two locations in Lacombe. Our main store is located downtown and is a retail sporting goods store, offering team sporting equipment, clothing, and footwear. Our second location is a dedicated bike shop located along the bike trails by the local university. We are proud to Central Alberta’s Giant, Specialized, Marin, Liv, and Momentum authorized bicycle dealer. Our staff members all have a passion for sport and have expertise in their field of activity. We work as a close-knit team to ensure a very high level of customer and staff satisfaction.
Reds Source for Sports exits to:
- Serve the local community by providing excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff and quality goods and equipment at a fair value;
- Support and promote community minor sports programs;
- Provide an atmosphere where employees are encouraged to pursue personal growth and maintain a balanced and active lifestyle.
Primary Role and Responsibilities
- Researching ways to penetrate new markets
- Analyzing sales statistics and using them to report on the success of marketing campaigns and products
- Meeting with marketers, executives, brand representatives, or others to create sales strategies
- Identifying and pursuing opportunities for brand partnerships or sponsorships
- Managing marketing budget to ensure costs are in line with budget
- Choosing the most effective places to advertise for each product or service
- Assisting in the development and execution of marketing campaigns
- Implementing search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve webpage visibility
- Evaluating and optimizing digital advertising campaigns across various platforms
- Tracking analytics and utilizing insights to enhance marketing performance
- Creating engaging social media posts and developing content strategies
- Monitoring and responding to customer inquiries and feedback on social media platforms
- Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful campaign execution
Data Entry
- Entering product information accurately into digital databases
- Verifying and validating product data for consistency
- Organizing and categorizing product information efficiently
- Updating product databases with new information promptly
- Assisting in migrating data between systems accurately
Additional Roles and Responsibilities
As a small independent business, we require our staff to be versatile and adaptable. We work as a team to ensure a high level of customer and employee satisfaction. Additional duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, customer service, sales, cash handling, skate sharpening, bike assembly/repair, ski/board service, inventory, shop tidiness and cleanliness. This role may require you to work occasional evenings or weekends executing community events or working in the store.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with social media management and content creation
- Understanding of the bike and/or sporting goods industry, with personal athletic experience
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales, website, and social media statistics
- Knowledge of search engine optimization, email marketing, lead generation, and other digital marketing tactics
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a marketing role

Salary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
