Peak Power develops and connects battery storage, grid-interactive buildings, and electric vehicle assets in a single software platform for partners to pursue net zero goals, cut operating expenses, and unlock new revenue opportunities.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the CFO, Director Commercial Support is a senior role driving the sales opportunities forward through effective enablement of related sales processes and commercial activities working closely with finance, corporate development, and the operations teams.

The position will implement effective sales processes through sales tools and industry best practices, to optimize revenue, customer and vendor experience, productivity, margins and win ratios. Critical ownership items include sales onboarding, salesforce.com, customer and vendor contract processes including grants, commercial legal interface, profitability analysis, effective enablement of sales proposals and supporting Project Finance.

The Director of Commercial Operations Support will:

Deliver. Be the primary driver of commercial contracts between stakeholders including legal by ensuring keen attention to detail, consistency, process standardization and creativity to meet business objectives .

Liaise for enablement of sales proposals through deal structures supported by financial models. Lead structuring of the transactions during the development stage to ensure projects are viable.

Support Project Finance activities with sufficient knowledge of markets and financial modelling

Own and manage CRM (Salesforece.com) process and works closely with the Sales and Finance team to ensure accurate, timely, proper recording and reporting of all bookings, pipeline activity and required sales KPIs. Monitor the accuracy and distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the revenue organization. Develops new reporting tools as needed.

Enable effective onboarding and operating knowledge management resources for Commercial teams. Design and Implement a Sales Playbook consisting of all relevant content, best practices, process training materials, and general repository of all relevant documentation.

Establish required training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical commercial competencies.

Establishes best practices and processes for the efficient calculation and reporting of variable incentive plans for all sales and services team members.

Report. You will monitor and report on progress, methodically evaluate processes and systems to improve efficiency; and implement processes that provide transparency and tracking

Manage and assist VP Sales in sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Establish high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches used by the sales and services organization.

Collaborate. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable effective operations that require input, buy-in, and execution across multiple departments, as well as customer and stakeholder communications.

Participate in financing, diligence, contracting, onboarding, and handover

Coordinate closely with Operations for effective customer success and protocols processes

Grow. You are a critical thinker who can seize opportunities to create value for Peak Power’s long-term vision for optimizing power utilization and energy storage. You will proactively identify opportunities to improve operational performance, efficiency, and scalability and contribute to Peak Power’s electric asset portfolio growth.

What you will bring to Peak Power:

The experience and education.

5+ years of strong sales support or sales or services operations experience in preferably in software environment in renewable energy, including sales enablement experience

Commercial process knowledge and related previous experience including strong commercial and contracting awareness

Must have an ability to work independently as well as on a team in a collaborative environment and have excellent understanding of Commercial Operations requirements and strategic selling environments

Must possess strong time management skills and understand sales ops role, pipeline management, CRM and forecasting principles

Possess excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills in managing all aspects of the sales ops role with a polished presence
