Reporting to the VP, Global Technology Product Services, the Director, Finance Portfolio Product Services will effectively lead, manage, and be accountable for delivery of a standardized end to end process for McCain using industry best practices within the planned time frame at an acceptable level of cost and quality for the Record-to-Report (RtR) process area.
As the leader of the Finance Technology Portfolio team, they owns the portfolio of products from ideation through to execution, including the adoption and stabilization of the product, and the coordinated transition to the Infrastructure and Operations team.
The Finance Technology Portfolio team and its director has accountability to lead the successful design, build, and deployment of our Core and Surround applications and will leverage our data and solutions to ensure the realization of organizational efficiencies and value from our investments.
Key Accountabilities
- Be ONE point of contact with Business stakeholders for our Global functions, and assist with alignment between Corporate and Regional priorities
- Ensure that regional and country specific needs are raised and addressed at the global level and are accounted for in business demand
- Develop the strategy and vision for the use of technology and data, to drive and support the business strategy
- Sign off on blueprints before handing over to the build team
- Provide oversight, leadership and alignment to overall timelines, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and prioritization of initiatives
- Track utilization of products and create heat map of functions used
- Ensure business cases are developed and stakeholders are accountable for value realization
- Maintain alignment with business stakeholders on global business processes
- Create a strategy and roadmap for the RtR (Record to Report) process area and relevant business functions involving different projects and products
- Communicate regularly with business executives and leaders to understand business needs
- Coordinate with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure design compatibility across functions
- Participate in change impact assessment / identification of value realization opportunities
- Engage with Vendors to assess and select new products and services, along with detailed reviews of SOW’s and license agreements
- Drive detailed design and solution development using core systems and bolt-on tools
- Manage completion of key test preparation and execution activities
- Engage with business users to plan for User Acceptance Testing
- Support end user training using TTT (Train the Trainer Approach)
- Lead sub-process teams for respective process area
- Monitor quality of deliverables / key project risks for the assigned process area
- Participate in weekly Global Team Leads meeting. Accountable for integration with Enterprise Process Management efforts and support business readiness efforts
- Forecast and manage spend of budget pool for the Finance Technology Portfolio team
- Contribute to budget tracking exercises and periodic submissions to Finance group
Qualifications
- 10- 12 years’ experience in variety of finance and accounting roles
- Experience working as part of, or closely with, an Information Technology group
- Functional and technical expertise in finance modules of SAP ECC/S4/HANA and other finance systems such as but not limited to SAC, PaPM, OneStream etc.
- Experience working on medium to large scale projects
- Broad and complete understanding of finance, including the tools and best practice processes associated
- Strong presentation and facilitations skills
- Experience working with detailed information and numerical data and presenting it in a way that is easily understood by people at different levels in the organization
- Strong project and change management capability to handle multiple projects (small and large) with conflicting priorities and deliver projects on time with excellence
- Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Independent and tactical with a proven ability to develop professional relationships and work in a team-oriented environment
- Works well under pressure, change and ambiguity
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and influence project team members
- Experience in risk management on global projects
- Demonstrated data analytics capabilities with the ability to identify insights, alternative solutions and recommendations
