DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION SERVICES
POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Director of Education Services to join our team. The Director of Education Services will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of Education administration, including administrator development and evaluation, budget planning, and directing of Educational programs. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Educational policies and frameworks and will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of the division's Annual Education Results Report and Education Plan.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree or higher in Education;
- Principalship or other administrative experience;
- A track record of success in the management of people and highly developed team-building skills;
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;
- In-depth knowledge of Educational policies, frameworks, and regulations;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-informed approach to decision-making;
- Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and program coordination;
- Bilingual proficiency is considered an asset;
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Plan, monitor, and support principal/assistant principal development;
- Evaluate principals and assistant principals to ensure alignment with LQS;
- Develop strategic plans and budgets for portfolio areas, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities;
- Understand and apply the Assurance Framework to inform school division planning efforts;
- Support the consultation, development, and implementation of the division's Education Plan;
- Analyze provincial and local assurance measures to contribute to the development and presentation of the Annual Education Results Report;
- Develop and monitor the division's Professional Development Plan, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities;
- Coordinate programming and supports for English as an Additional Language Learners: promoting inclusive education practices;
- Plan, monitor, and analyze school-level benchmark or screening assessments to drive numeracy and literacy growth and achievement;
- Demonstrate a high level of in-school presence and provide ongoing support for teachers and school administrators;
- Lead Collaborative Response initiatives to support student success and well-being;
- Works cross department to build staff capacity in the areas of literacy, numeracy competencies and curriculum application for ALL students.
Additional duties will be determined and shared with the other Director of Education Services. Responsibilities also include working with Senior Leadership to provide leadership for the division, while collaborating with other system leaders across the province. This full-time position is based out of the division office in Camrose, is out of scope, and will require membership into the College of Alberta School Superintendents. Travel is required.
Depending on the successful candidate, a mutually agreeable start date will be determined.
