Dispatch Assistant Or Dispatcher

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Dispatch Team.

We are seeking an individual to join the team at a Dispatch Assistant or Dispatcher level depending on qualification and experience.

The Dispatch Team is responsible for the scheduling and dispatch of drivers and buses to all charter trips originating from Vancouver Island. The Dispatch Team is also responsible for a variety of compliance and reporting functions, information management, insurance and permit updates and upgrades. This role also includes providing support in a fast paced, high-call volume office environment and will assist in completing operations and data entry tasks as necessary in a timely and accurate manner. We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant or Dispatcher who is organized and eager to learn. This is the perfect role for someone looking to build their career in transportation.

We are seeking individuals with full-time including evening and weekends, however we would be able to accommodate an individual with decreased availability during the school year, if required.

What we are looking for:

• 2 plus years’ customer service and administrative experience.
• Experience working in a setting that requires collaborating and coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Transportation industry knowledge and experience an asset, to be hired directly into a Dispatcher role several years of transportation and dispatch experience is required.
• Knowledge of local geography (Greater Victoria area).
• Ability to deal with people diplomatically and professionally.
• Very organized with excellent multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Salary: $17.40-$24.00 per hour
