Dispatcher/Load Planner

Job Overview:As the Truck Driver Dispatcher/Load Planner, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating and managing driver dispatch and planning efficient, cost-effective load assignments. This position demands strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our dispatchers, drivers, and customers to ensure on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage driver dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient load transportation.
• Develop and optimize load plans to enhance driver productivity and reduce overall transportation costs.
• Monitor driver performance, hours of service, and route adherence, making adjustments as needed.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions and addressing concerns professionally.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely information on orders and delivery requirements.
• Utilize transportation management software and tools to track shipments and maintain accurate records.
• Proactively engage with customers to fulfill transportation needs and book loads.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations and company policies.
• Identify and address potential issues, minimizing disruptions to operations.
• Provide regular updates to management on dispatch and load planning performance.
• Seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall service quality.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety requirements.
• Proficient in transportation management software and technology tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Commitment to customer service and ensuring driver satisfaction.
• Russian language proficiency is an asset.
