Job description

Wilride Transport Ltd is looking for a full time Truck Driver Dispatcher responsible for answering incoming calls and communicating with mobile units to ensure they receive any important messages. You will monitor situations by phone, use mapping software to locate the best routes, and keep track of the locations of mobile units. RESPONSIBILITIES :

You will be responsible for helping to coordinate and optimize delivery schedules. You will work to resolve any logistical problems that arise such as traffic or other delays.

• Effective and timely communication with drivers, customers, brokers and fellow dispatchers
• Monitor driver locations, pickups, remaining space available and hours of service
• Able to quickly and efficiently make changes, deal with challenges and make solid decisions
• Update the TMS live to reflect daily operations complete/on time

DISPATCHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Customer service skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of US geography/GPS tracking systems
• Multitasking skills
• Strong attention to details
• Ability to resolve conflict and solve problems
• Experience in MS office suite of programs, Fleet manager an asset
• Excellent communication skills

REQUIREMENTS

Have a high school diploma to be considered for a job as a Dispatcher. Additional training will be provided upon hiring.
