Dry Cleaning Maintenance Technician
Crouse’s Cleaners is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. We are a locally owned and operated third generation family business that has been a part of the community since 1979. This person will strive working independently on maintenance tasks and projects related to the equipment and building, while working within our team. Working with Crouse’s Cleaners. You will be home every night, work primarily indoors and on weekdays.
Duties include:
Ensure equipment and building are kept clean and in good working order.
Complete preventative, regular and emergency maintenance tasks on equipment and the building. Including, but not limited to, boilers, air compressors, Dry Cleaning machines, washers/dryers, garment finishing/tensioning equipment, conveyors and building heating and cooling systems.
Keep accurate and complete computer records of maintenance completed.
Able to build relationships and work with specific trades, as needed.
Work with other company managers to define and implement thorough maintenance systems, and build standard operating procedures.
Work with company managers to plan, organize and manage installation of new pieces of equipment and building changes.
This position is primarily indoors and on weekdays, structured around a standard 40 hour work week. The position is needed to keep key pieces of equipment in operation. If a key piece is down, it would be your responsibility and priority to get it in working order, or help a team member get to working order, over the phone. Besides this, hours are flexible. Some tasks will need to be completed in the evenings or on a Sunday when equipment is not in operation. Some overtime will be required on an as needed basis. If desired, additional overtime opportunities may be available to complete projects.
Required skills:
Motivated, growth-minded and self-starting individual as you will be working independently. Mechanical experience and familiarity with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC and mechanics are an asset. Able to communicate in English. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working on ladders and at heights. Able to work within safety policies and guidelines. A valid Class 5 Driver’s License. A drivers abstract will be requested in onboarding process.
You will need to obtain a Special Boiler Operator ticket, specific to the Dry Cleaning industry, through ABSA within the first 6 months of employment.
$32-$37 per hour depending on qualifications.
