E-Coat Technical Supervisor

Who You Are: Ground Effects is looking for a E-Coat Technical Supervisorto join our growing organization in Windsor, ON. The E-Coat Technical Supervisor must manage and assign daily work instructions to each Lab Technician that coordinate with production requirements while consistently complying with the provisions of O.H.S.A and various H&S requirements. In addition, E-Coat Technical Supervisors are required to ensure that all Lab Technician staff are following proper housekeeping and code of conduct.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education required; College or bachelor's degree Preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Must be familiar with IATF 16949 requirements, ISO awareness, 5S and Kaizen policies and significant Environmental aspects such as waste management.
• Must be familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Must have and maintain an appropriate and valid Ontario Driver's license.
• Strong computer skills.

Job Description:

• Assign Daily work instructions and coordinate production requirements to Lab Tech staff
• Ensure that 5S and Kaizen Housekeeping practices are adhered to
• Maintain communication with other roles of responsibility (E-coat Line Technician, E-coat Facility Supervisor, etc...)
• Investigate documented daily inspections and provide guidance for any appropriate corrective action involving unsafe conditions
• Ensure that only authorized individuals are operating equipment
• Initiate progressive discipline actions, according to policy
• Work closely with the J.H.S.C and assist as required
• Work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure that production is running effectively and efficiently
• Provide leadership and direction to Lab Technicians
• Document and analyze audits pertaining to lab results, 5S and Kaizen, ensuring shop floor cleanliness
• Ensure daily check sheets and performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner
