Location: KPSquared Inc - Innovative Childcare- Franklin Ave, Fort McMurray

Wage: Competitive, based on qualifications and experience plus an attractive top-up.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (following a 7/7 schedule)

Split shifts: 7:30 am - 8:30 am + 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities:

- Provide dedicated one-on-one support and exceptional care to a child with exceptionalities during before and after school hours, ensuring their safety, well-being, and promoting inclusive care.

- Collaborate closely with the child's family and a multidisciplinary team of professionals to develop and implement customized plans and goals, tailoring the care to meet the child's specific requirements.

- Design and execute engaging, inclusive activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development, creating a dynamic and nurturing learning environment.

- Foster an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere where the child feels valued, empowered, and fully supported, facilitating their progress and overall development.

- Monitor and track the child's progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records and preparing comprehensive reports for parents and stakeholders.

- Engage in open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's growth, milestones, and accomplishments.

- Embrace continuous growth through active participation in training sessions and professional development opportunities, enhancing your knowledge and skills in providing inclusive care for children with exceptionalities.

Requirements:

- Hold a Certificate or Diploma in Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) from a recognized post-secondary institution, showcasing your dedication to providing inclusive care.

- Possess a minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Educator Certificate, demonstrating your commitment to supporting children's growth and development.

- Have a thorough understanding of inclusive teaching strategies, individualized education plans, and behavior management techniques, enabling you to cater to the child's unique needs.

- Previous experience working with children with exceptionalities is highly desirable, emphasizing your ability to provide specialized care and support.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with families and professionals, ensuring a supportive and cohesive environment.

- Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide safe and reliable transportation for the child as needed.

Salary: $15.68-$25.76 per hour
