ROLE OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Program Manager, OE (Owner's Engineer), the Electrical Engineer’s primary role will be to work on permits and circulation projects for Hardline Engineering's clients. The Engineer having AEUC (Alberta Electric Utility Code) and CEC (Canadian Electrical Code) experience will be considered an asset but in house training will be provided. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with various divisions including safety, engineering, asset management, and permitting.
DUTIES:
- Evaluate Development Permits and respond either through the city or by directly contacting the applicant when the situation merits
- Review and respond to Circulations
- Support the Permits and Circulation Engineering team
- Maintain process documentation
- Review designs done by external consultants to ensure compliance with clients standards and guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles and practices (AEUC and CEC)
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada right now
- Must be eligible for registration with APEGA as an EIT or P.Eng.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with tight timelines
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong client focus and results driven
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with internal and external customers, stakeholders and co-workers
- Excellent organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to resolve conflicting priorities.
- Ability to work in a team environment
